New health minister joined us in Liverpool
We were delighted that new health minister Mike O’Brien was able to come to conference. In his first week in the job he took the opportunity to meet as many of our network members as possible. He was keen to discuss the new financial climate and the importance of integration within the health system. He is new to health but first became a minister 12 years ago and has worked in a variety of government departments in that time. We understand that Mr O’Brien will have similar responsibilities to outgoing minister Ben Bradshaw.
The NHS Confederation looks forward to getting to know and working with him over the coming months.
